We are bursting with pride to share the incredible achievements of our gifted students at the recent 1st Steinway Piano Competition GCC! Their unwavering dedication, diligent practice, and deep love for music illuminated the prestigious stage, resulting in truly remarkable success.

It fills us with immense joy to announce the outstanding accomplishments of the following exceptional young musicians:

Mingcheng Si, 8 years old – 2nd Prize Winner, Group A

Rancheng Xu, 12 years old – 3rd Prize Winner, Group B

We also extend heartfelt congratulations to Ranim Ayman BinZaiman, 6 years old, and Guillermo Duarte, 8 years old, from Group A, who both successfully advanced to the second round of this highly competitive event.

These remarkable young artists demonstrated exceptional skill and artistry, captivating both the esteemed judges and the appreciative audience with their compelling performances. Their unwavering commitment to their musical craft serves as a true inspiration, and we couldn’t be prouder of this well-deserved recognition.

Celebrating Rancheng at YMOG 2025

 

While the competition is undoubtedly a platform for showcasing talent, it’s also a celebration of dedication, passion, and the transformative power of music. Rancheng’s journey to the Young Musicians of the Gulf 2025, the hours of practice, and the commitment to his craft – are testaments to his dedication and love for music. His performance, regardless of the outcome, was a victory in itself. He shared his gift with the audience, and in doing so, he shone brightly. For us, Rancheng is a STAR ⭐

Young Bahraini Pianists Shine on the International Stage Haya and Layan Abdulla Al Hamad

Haya and Layan Abdulla Al Hamad, two talented young pianists from Life in Music, recently had the extraordinary opportunity to perform with the prestigious Philharmonic Orchestra on December 16th in Yaroslavl, Russia.

This unique opportunity was made possible by the renowned Bahraini Maestro, Waheed AlKhan, who selected the sisters to participate in the concert titled “Spirit of Bahrain.” The concert was conducted by the esteemed Maestro Vasily Petrenko.

Haya and Layan’s performance of two piano duets, Waltz from Masquerade by Aram Khachaturian and Libertango by Astor Piazzolla, and Layan’s solo performance, Concertino for Piano and Orchestra by Yurij Polunin was met with resounding applause from the audience. Their exceptional talent and dedication were showcased on an international stage, bringing pride to Bahrain.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Haya and Layan on their outstanding achievement. Their performance was a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the exceptional music education they received at Life in Music.

Young Bahraini Sisters to Shine on Int’l. Stage

Two talented young Bahraini sisters, Haya and Layan Al Hamad, are set to make their international debut as part of an orchestra in Yaroslavl, Russia, on Monday, December 16th coinciding with Bahrain’s National Day.

The sisters, aged 15 and 12, were personally selected by renowned Bahraini maestro Waheed Al Khan to perform with the prestigious Yaroslavl Philharmonic Orchestra. The concert, titled “Spirit of Bahrain,” will showcase their exceptional musical abilities.

Haya and Layan, students of Life in Music will perform two captivating piano duets: “Waltz from Masquerade” by Aram Khachaturian and “Libertango” by Astor Piazzolla, accompanied by the full orchestra.

This remarkable opportunity highlights the growing talent and dedication of young Bahraini musicians on the international stage.

Winter Recital 2024

Life in Music recently hosted a three-day winter recital that captivated audiences with its stunning performances. The event showcased the exceptional talent and dedication of the institute’s young musicians.

For three days, students of all ages took to the stage to perform various classical and contemporary pieces. From solo piano performances to chamber ensembles, the recital showcased the versatility and skill of the young musicians.

The event was a testament to Life in Music’s high-quality music education. The institute’s commitment to nurturing young talent and fostering a love for music was evident in every performance.

The recital’s success was a result of the hard work and dedication of both the students and the dedicated faculty at Life in Music.

                                                  

Guillermo Duarte shines at the Carmel Klavier International Competition 2024

A Triumphant Performance

Life in Music student Guillermo Duarte, 7 years old, shined at the Carmel Klavier International Piano Competition, USA in June 2024.

Guillermo recently participated in the prestigious Carmel Klavier International Piano Competition and achieved remarkable success. After a strong showing in the online rounds in March 2024, Guillermo advanced to the live rounds in three categories: Concerto, Solo, and Contemporary Composers.
